We have one service on Sunday mornings, and many events
throughout the week. Click on the one you are interested in, or scroll down
for a full survey. Some topics link to further pages for detailed explanation
or information regarding past events.
This 9:30 am worship service is for anyone wishing to walk
through our doors. For the beginning of our time together, the children are
with the adults. When it is time, the children are dismissed for Children's Church and are placed in appropriate age groups when they arrive.
The Service structure varies from time to time and occasionally
we have visiting Pastors or groups. For example, on a Missionary Weekend,
visiting Missionaries will present what God is doing in the world-wide
Mission Field. Following the Service (which normally ends around 11:00am) there
is a time of fellowship and refreshments. Tea, coffee and some delicious
home-baked delights are served. You are welcome to join us!
On the first Sunday of every month, Green Mountain Community
Alliance Church (GMCAC) celebrates Communion. All who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior are encouraged
to prepare themselves to gather around His Table in this
special and vital celebration.
GMCAC is fortunate to have access to some wonderful musical talent, both instrumental and vocal. Our small but joyful Praise & Worship Team used to be led by Bonnie Rinehart. But since her retirement, we are petitioning God to send us an accomplished pianist to use his/her musical skills and spiritual gifts to accompany the Team. If God is laying it on your heart to join our Praise and Worship Team please contact our present Team Leader Bill Carter at 244-1157.
Come worship with us as we 'make a joyful noise'!
We have Children's Church for preschool to 8th grade. All
children join their parents in the sanctuary for scripture reading, song, praise
and worship, and a children's sermon. After tithes and offerings the children
are dismissed for age appropriate Bible lessons, which are activity based and
focused on Biblical applications. Please contact the Children's Church
coordinator, Elizabeth Danyew if you
have any questions.
Alliance Youth Group is held every Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Our adult leaders Richard and Elizabeth Danyew are committed to
creating an environment where youth can come and have fun with their friends,
make new friends, find friends they can trust, ask questions in a safe place
and learn how the Bible can help give direction to our life in an
unpredictable world.
We want to guide youth to a better understanding and deeper
relationship with Jesus Christ. We will accomplish this through games, fun
events, field trips, over nights, camps, Bible teaching and community
service. We are going to learn how and why we should make choices that will
benefit our life now and in the future. We have snack, girl time and guy time, teaching time and game
time. We discover how much fun it is to serve others. We listen to what the
youth want to do and do our best to do it! The Great Commandments (Matthew 22:37-39): Jesus replied,
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and
with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the
second is Love your neighbor as yourself." The most important part of the Alliance Youth group is being a
part of our local community where we are committed to empowering students to
experience God and expand His Kingdom. This is the core of our youth group. Please contact the Alliance Youth group leaders Richard and
Elizabeth Danyew if you have questions or suggestions at 244-5673, 793-8749,
or you can email Elizabeth. For the schedule of
upcoming events, click here.
Teaching after teaching stresses the vital importance of prayer, both
within the church body and personal. GMCAC has responded to this
in the 'Family of God' time every Sunday morning. At times of church body prayer, the congregation shares blessings
and makes prayer requests. These are then lifted up to God, who always hears
our prayers. Occasionally, there are special prayer events, such as The
National Day of Prayer. We respond to events such as these by ensuring the
church is open for prayer all day long.
GMCAC is a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance and as a result, takes the
Biblical teaching of The Great Commission very seriously! After all, Jesus did
ask us to spread the Good News! Periodically, we have honored guests from the mission field. As
you can tell from the flags of the world we hang on our walls during Missionary
Week, this is literally world-wide.
